The current restrictions put onto marijuana are ridiculous. Many American's have used marijuana or simply don't view it as what should be an illegal substance. The drug itself is 100% natural, not man made. The government's policies on marijuana should reflect what the people of America believe about the substance. It is very possible to decriminalize possession of marijuana while fighting the drug war.
All I ask of the Obama Administration is to think with an open-mind. Yes I am aware there are more important situations at hand but everyday I am seeing intelligent, hard-working, future innovators and most importantly our youth arrested and criminally charged for possession of a naturally earth bearing plant.
Obama has admitted to "trying" the drug, what if he was caught back then?
