We want for the federal government to decriminalize the possession of marijuana in an amount of an ounce or less by any person that is 18 years or older. By doing this, we would free up space in prisons and keep those that have committed a nonviolent "crime" from having to be in the same place as violent criminals. Also local governments could impose a fine on those under the age of 18 that are in possession of marijuana and those in possession of amounts larger than an ounce.
