Transform the possession/transfer of Marijuana from a criminal misdemeanor to a civil violation (punishable by a $25 fine, no arrest, no jail time, and no criminal record)
Some states such as Colorado and Washington have legalized Marijuana for recreational use. Many others have legalized Marijuana for medical use. We can all agree that sending people to jail and court rooms for the possession and/or use of Marijuana is a waste of time and tax dollars. It is up to states to legalize it for use, but our jails are full of people who committed non-violent crimes such as possessing and using Marijuana. Washington, D.C. has already done this, but this needs to be executed on a national level.
