Dedicate a national holiday in memoriam of the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

Created by A.B. on February 15, 2016

The late Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, Antonin Scalia dedicated his life to the study of law. Over the past 30 years as a member of SCOTUS he was a stalwart protector of the integrity of the Constitution of the United States of America. His contributions to the court will be sorely missed.

Most practicing attorneys still recall the first Scalia opinion or dissent they came across in their studies. Agree or disagree, the one thing most learned quickly was to pay attention. Students who seek to learn and practice the law will remember his name for generations to come.

J. Scalia was a colossus of conservatism. Honest, blunt, and outspoken, he became the icon of the court.

I would formally like to request that a national holiday be declared in his honor.
