deem Breed Specific Legislation unconstitutional.

Created by E.B. on September 30, 2011

Various cities, counties, and states all across the country are enacting Breed Specific Legislation. Breed Specific Legislation is legislation that generally punishes certain listed dog breeds.

Some cities, counties, and states have deemed Breed Specific Legislation unconstitutional. We, the undersigned, feel that this issue needs to be brought up on a national level and deemed unconstitutional.

It is our right to own dogs, and there should not be any such laws preventing responsible owners from owning certain breeds of dogs. Breed Specific Legislation needs to come to an end. We need to star punishing irresponsible dog owners, not the dogs. They don't cause the problems, people who act irresponsibly with their pets cause the problems.
