defend 2nd Amendment as per SCOTUS-2A applies to arms in common military service-while barring those infirm for service.

Created by A.D. on December 21, 2012

Some will say we do not weapons that are derived from military weapons. The truth is that almost every sporting, hunting, and defense weapon came from a military model or origin. This is no different with modern semi automatic rifles. In US vs Miller, the Supreme Court asserted a test that an arm is applicable to the right if it is in common military service based on historical analysis. I do not believe this allows us to lay down outright bans on many of these rifles and their accessories. The truth is around 300 deaths resulted from rifles last year compared to closer to 3000 from knives based on FBI Crime Reports in 2011. This evidence shows that rifles are not an appreciable part of criminal activity when compared to the 30,000 murders annually.
