Petition to call on President Obama to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
In 2011, the Obama administration took the stance of no longer defending DOMA in court. The law was passed by the Legislature and signed into law by President Clinton in 1996.
Until such time as this, or any law, is repealed, the administration has an obilgation to defend the laws of the land.
This petition calls on President Obama and his justice department to stand for the rule of law and defend the laws of the land, including DOMA.
