Millions of Assyrians, Armenians, Christians, Yazidis, Shabaks and other religious and ethnic minorities have been displaced from their homes with threat of sectarian violence. Thousands have been abducted. Thousands have been killed. Thousands have been raped. Thousands have been forced into slavery.
Genocide isn’t something that should be tolerated or ignored.
ISIL is conducting their ethnoreligious cleansing in Syria and Iraq right now.
We need the United States to act and urge the other members of the General Assembly of the United Nations to do the same. If our government isn’t ready to act we need to support the Nineveh Plain Protections Units or any other militia, agency, or government that is offering protection and defense of these people.
