Defend law-abiding U.S. citizen's constitutional right to keep and bear arms, including sporting "assault" weapons.

We urge the Obama Administration to defend the law-abiding United States citizen's constitutional right to keep and bear arms by dissolving all new gun control legislation up to and including bans on "assault weapons" and high capacity ammunition feeding devices. Newtown CT gunman Adam Lanza stole the firearms used in the massacre tragedy. Connecticut currently has an "Assault Weapons" ban comparable to the expired Clinton era ban, and based on the tragedy, proves such bans are moot. Recent mass shootings have occured at establishments where the gunmen faced no armed opposition. Licensed concealed carry by civilians, including teachers, in all establishments needs to be considered. By passing new gun control legislation, this Administration will place the innocent at risk.
