We believe that employers should only require their employees to engage in duties that are essential to the company. Activities that are non-essential to the functioning of the company may be financially incentivized, but the employee should not be punished by having wages withheld for not wanting to participate in non-essential activities.
Currently, Marshawn Lynch, an NFL player for the Seattle Seahawks, is being compelled to speak to the press under threat of $50,000 in fines for each week he chooses not to, just $3,00 under the GDP per capita of the United States.
We the People do not believe that an NFL player should lose the equivalent of a US citizen's yearly salary for exercising his right to privacy and would like to have our concerns shared with the executive office.
