Defend our American flag from being turned around backward. A Department of The Army pamphlet (DA-PAM 670-1) is responsible for our troops wearing a backwards US flag patch. The DA pamphlet is wrong and it violates United States Code regarding display of the US flag and respect for the flag. The DA pamphlet also violates US Army Regulation 840-10 regarding display of the US flag.
It is not about how cool a person thinks the flag looks when displayed this way or that way, it is about The Flag. The Union (blue field and white stars) is always at the top and on the "flags own right", or the viewers left when looking straight at the flag. The same when the flag is displayed with other flags the US flag goes to the right of the line, or the viewers left. Read the Flag Code!
