Defend the Postal Service from Privatization

Created by P.M. on December 06, 2012

In HR2309 Rep. Darrell Issa
Issa claims he is striving to save the USPS yet he ignores expenses that can be deleted without disrupting the service.
In 2006 the PAEA signed by Bush, mandated that the USPS fund 75 years of retiree health benefits at 5.5 Billion a year for 10. HR6407 needs to be rescinded..

Over payments of 50 to 75 Billion the USPS made to the Civil Service Retirement Service and those made to FERS should be returned.

. Fewer managers.

Stop deep discounts to large businesses

Issa’s solution is to cut the workforce by 100,000,cut pay and benefits, close many post offices and mail sorting centers, gut the unions and set it up for privatization with less service at a higher cost.
