A part of this bill (S. 1867) would allow American citizens to be arrested & detained indefinitely, without being charged or tried for any crime. (This has especially dire implications for anyone interested in exercising their right to peacefully assemble!)
An Amendment to the Bill from Senator Mark Udall (D, CO) would delete this liberty-threatening clause.
