As loyal citizens of the United States of America, we appeal to the President and Congress to reject the petitions of those who would undermine our nation and its Constitution by illegal secession. They would have several states violate Article I, Section 1 and Article VI of the Constitution. The President and Congress is bound by oaths prescribed in Article II and Article VI to defend the United States and the Constitution. The President and Congress are also constitutionally bound by Article IV, Section 4, to guarantee to citizens of the United States of America a republican form of government.
