If a state wishes to secede from the union, they must meet the following criteria:
- A majority of the state's population must vote to do so.
- Any citizen wishing to move in order to remain a U.S. citizen must be given a generous relocation timeline.
- All U.S. Government property will be removed from that state, and U.S. personnel reassigned.
- The state must assume a percentage of the national debt that is proportionate to the pre-secession population of that state.
- The state is to secure its borders, at its own expense.
- Any current military personnel are sworn to serve the U.S., and thus must decide their citizenship status upon honorable discharge.
Other terms may be added at U.S. Government discretion, pending a Constitutional amendment, of course.
