This petition seeks to implore the Administration to define the Rights of the People regarding electronic communication, the internet, email, mobile phoning, and others as it relates to our rights of Privacy.
The Constitution demands that a Warrant be issued upon Probable Cause for any government official to investigate a person or their belongings. This definition occurs in the physical world only. The lack of definition has allowed law enforcement to bypass normal, common barriers of privacy simply because the form is electronic.
Where a letter is an email, and a video game is a movie, and where a text message is a telegram and so forth, analogies to the physical world are usually simple. We ask that the Administration seek to CLARIFY, and EXTEND these rights online, now and forever.
