Define the intent of the second amendment then design (Weapon) control that makes sense.

The second amendment was established to ensure the ability of US citizens to put food on the table and protect ourselves from hostel forces. It is fair to clasify weapons as tool and as such we can narrow down styles and types that best meet these two requirements. Until deer and turkeys start hunting us simple weapons more then meet our needs to put food on the table. As far as protection goes we don't need large capacity magazines or assault weapons to do this job either. A protective weapon only needs to hold off attackers a reasonable amount of time giving help time to reach you.
I have been at the wrong end of violence and yet found a simle low capacity handgun to serve my purpose.
Let's bring common sense to the table and work in good faith to create gun laws that are reasonable.
