Define, reduce and limit the dollar amount per mile per hour courts can fine a citizen for non criminal speeding.

Created by J.R. on March 18, 2013

In times of gross governmental fiscal mismanagement and debt, traffic violations and speed camera citations have been utilized as a revenue generating tool for the government. In some areas, a ticket for traveling 5 MPH over the speed limit can cost approximately $200.00. This can be devastating in harsh economic times given the current unemployment rate. The fines imposed by many local governments for speed citations are out of control and must be capped and reduced immediately.
