Define "Religion" as an belief system that guides individuals to be their best self through non-violent means.

Created by M.S. on September 21, 2014

Religion must be officially defined as "non-violent" in nature, in order to prevent radical extremists from using religion as a front for terrorism. This will also reduce recruitment levels of people joining rebel causes as a means for satisfying religious beliefs. Islam, especially, must be forced to take out the violent framework of it's ideology in order to maintain their status as a religion. Allowing a mass movement of violence, tyranny, and oppression to take hold in the western world is counter-intuitive to our safety, and to the standards of freedom that we uphold as a nation of people. Humanity must be urged forward by peace, not violence, as our long history clearly shows how much we have to lose if we choose to devolve under a religion that mandates violence and intolerance.
