In these times of budgetary constraints, nothing is more urgent than defunding private organizations whose contribution to the Nation is nil.
According to their own reporting, Planned Parenthood (PP) received over $1 billion in government funds, whereas fo 2011-2012 alone PP received $542.4 million in government funding, which represents 45.2 percent of the group’s total annual budget.
On June 30, 2012, PP had net assets valued at $1,244.7 billion, of which $474.5 million was unrestricted, making this figure a virtual savings account. That a supposedly non-profit organization has that much in assets, and still receives government funding is scandalous. The bulk of their income came from abortions, not from prenatal care.
Sir, save the American taxpayer money by defunding PP.
