Ever since its creation, the TSA has been slowly chipping away at our individual liberty in the name of preventing terrorist attacks. Every attempt at terrorism to make it to the media has become fodder for an agency that is eager to get more and more power even when there is no legitimate threat. For example: the restriction on liquids came about when terrorists attempted to use hydrogen peroxide to make an improvised bomb despite statements from experts saying that such a plot had little to no chance of success.
That plot was not stopped by a security checkpoint. It was stopped by authorities following the evidence to stop the attack before the would-be terrorists ever boarded a plane.
The TSA has not made us safer, so please defund it.
