It is imperative that the citizens of the United States know that the presidential election was not affected, or influenced in any way by any foreign countries.
As several reports have surfaced of Russian tampering with the 2016 presidential campaign, Americans must know that the candidate taking office is not influenced by, or acting on behalf of, any foreign powers that intend to do harm to us, or profit (politically or financially) from our political process.
For this reason, the electoral college voters MUST be given time to review the latest information from our intelligence agencies, and insure that our election process was unaffected by foreign influence.
