We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Delete petitioner identification to protect against political persecution by Trump Administration

Created by A.P. on November 12, 2016

President-Elect Trump may try to retaliate against those who have signed petitions he believes to be contrary to his interests (e.g., abolition of the Electoral College, immediate appointment of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, etc.). In order to protect petitioners from political persecution, we hereby request that a policy be created to require the permanent and irreversible deletion of all copies of personally identifiable information (names, initials, email addresses, IP addresses, etc.) of all who have signed petitions prior to the end of the Obama Administration. We also request that petition signing be disabled subsequent to record deletion, to protect those who would otherwise sign between deletion and the inauguration of President Trump.
