The decision to give a paltry fine, no matter how "record setting," to a corporation and its executives for the crime of supplying violent Drug Cartels an open, casual method of laundering their money, is despicable. We the people demand that when our own citizens are detained, fined, jailed, imprisoned, and made pariahs for the smallest of infractions, our government stand up for the justice which it exists to uphold and hand down true punishment to those guilty of crime on a monumental scale. We demand that we not be beguiled by the idea that this fine is the largest ever, or economic pretense, when it amounts to the profits of several weeks of operation. We demand that the executives, who live in the lap of luxury be sentenced as any criminal would. We demand our dignity as a nation.
