The President must share the responsibility for national security with every American, since it is impossible for law enforcement to prevent every lone terrorist or sleeper cell from launching attacks anywhere in the U.S. Every American must be vigilant and mindful of neighbors, co-workers and others we all observe in our daily lives - and report any suspicious activity to a national hotline. All of us - not just the President and law enforcement - must step up to "say something" when we "see something". Perhaps had this mindset been in place in France and Belgium, the horrible attacks in Paris might have been avoided. Let us ALL take up the task, the burden and the responsibility to protect our nation from harm. We cannot delegate those duties. Call us to action, Mr. President!
