The State of the Union message below was loud and clear, but one element is missing. In addition to schools being rewarded for developing new partnerships with colleges and employers; so should colleges and employers be rewarded for creating partnerships with schools, othewise what incentive do they have?
"Tonight, I’m announcing a new challenge to redesign America’s high schools so they better equip graduates for the demands of a high-tech economy. And we’ll reward schools that develop new partnerships with colleges and employers,,,,"
Corporations should play their part and give qualified candidates a chance. Right now there is a lot of US talent, but companies still move operations where there is no US talent then outsource for cost cutting purposes.
