Delta canals need to be preserved to save the wildlife and help those who have no water by creating desalination plants

Desalination plants help people and the environment as well as the wildlife, both in and outside the ocean. Desalination plants take water from the ocean and through the process of reverse osmosis. Two gallons of salt water is transformed into one gallon of drinking water or irrigating water. the excess salt from the process will be dumped into man made pools by the shore rather than being dumped back into the ocean. Desalination plants are designed to use 40% less energy than typical plants. These plants are already being built in San Diego and have provided water to over 300,000 San Diego county residents. With these plants, they will reduce the amount of water taken from the Delta, allowing for the central valley to properly utilize it.
