The Foreign Registration Act states that any lobby that acts on behalf of a foreign government must register as a foreign agent. With a budget of $65 million, and membership at over 100,000, this group can be considered as an agent of the Israeli government.
Changing AIPAC's status would disentangle unwitting Americans from Israels unending conflicts, illegal settlements, systematized abuse of Palestinians, and clandestine nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.
If AIPAC wishes to lobby the US government, it must be required to register as lobbyist for a foreign agent.
