America's political arena is up for sale to the highest bidder. Corporations, lobbyists, and special interests routinely buy access and influence through obscenely large campaign contributions. Because the Supreme Court has refused to protect the voices of the American people (i.e., Citizens United), we have no choice but to Amend our Constitution.
We, the undersigned Americans, formally request your support in demanding a Constitutional Amendment limiting all political contributions in Federal elections. Only United States citizens must be allowed to contribute money in our elections, and all contributions must be fully disclosed and restricted in amount.
Once we get the influence of money out of politics, perhaps we will finally get politicians to vote with their conscience again.
