Premise 1: We're still at war.
Premise 2: Al qaeda is one of our enemies in said war.
Premise 3: The constitution defines treason as "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort."
Premise 4: Government officials in the Obama administration (as well as CIA, NSA, certain members of congress and other government organizations) are aiding this enemy in the Syrian civil war.
Conclusion: The aforementioned individuals are traitors as defined by the constitution. Therefore, these individuals are criminals and should be arrested and tried. To not arrest these individuals would be in violation of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment of the US Constitution.
