The Elgin Marbles were stolen from the Parthenon by the British Lord Elgin while the Greek people were under the fist of the Ottoman Empire. Taking advantage of the Greeks' subservience, Lord Elgin "bought" the marbles friezes, and carted them back off to London. The Greek people have the right to have such beautiful national treasures returned to them. Whether they be returned to the Parthenon itself or placed in the exquisite brand new Parthenon Museum. The British Museum is profiting off of stolen property and should be stopped.
