CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden has repeatedly stated and assured the American people that he has “no doubt that we will control EBOLA so that it does not spread widely in this country” and that “restricting travel between the US and W. Africa would worsen the outbreak.” Now that we have one confirmed death, and 2 additional cases of Ebola in the US he “regrets not having his experts on the ground sooner that might have prevented this infection.” This level of incompetence and lack of leadership to control Ebola is unacceptable when millions of American lives are at stake. We are asking for the immediate resignation of Dr. Tom Frieden. Until this role is lead by someone who will take the logical steps to control Ebola from spreading in the US, more Ebola outbreaks and deaths are inevitable.
