We, the people, seek help from the Obama Administration to demand that corporations like Pepsi-Co (and others following the same practice) ban brominated vegetable oil (BVO), a dangerous synthetic chemical used as a flame retardant, from all of their products. While the Federal Drug Administration considers BVO a non-hazardous addition to food and beverages, there has not been sufficient research done to determine the very real and harmful effects this chemical has on the human body - including permanent organ damage and early death. This chemical has already been banned by all European nations, yet American companies are still allowed to poison their consumers for the sake of less expensive processing and more revenue. Stop this immoral and unacceptable activity.
