BEING as we are supposedly a representative democracy: We, the Citizens of the United States, demand that our elected representatives be required to abide by the very laws they intend to impose on their constituents. We further demand mid-term evaluations of sitting members of Congress and performance-based pay scales. Congress may not legislate its members a raise in pay of any kind without the approval of the constituents they represent.
