Demand Congress Draft and Vote on a Bill to Establish Congressional Term Limits

In a time of national bipartisan polarization, the one thing everybody can agree on is that Congress is failing. The system is broken, resulting in the same Congress voting on the same issues and holding the same gridlocks. Many representatives have served decades without introducing a bill and simply continue to vote along party lines. Congressional term limits would force legislators to cooperate to get things done with their limited time in office instead of campaigning for reelection. It would also loosen Wall Street’s grasp on elections as corporations will be less likely to fund a candidate only able to hold office for so long. Our current system is failing and this will continue to happen if we do not limit the time legislators can hold office.
