Demand that Congress end government funded pensions, healthcare, and retirement "entitlements" for members and staffers.

Created by T.S. on December 15, 2012

Members of Congress have voted themselves and their staff expensive pensions and lifetime healthcare upon retirement and many special perks such as private gyms, etc.. These "entitlements" cost the American taxpayers enormous sums of money and far exceed the average combined government and private employee per capita expenditure for retirement, healthcare, etc. for ordinary citizens. Before any reduction is made to benefits U.S. citizens are currently entitled to and/or are projected to receive under programs such as Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid, the Congress of the United States should eliminate any government funding for any pension, health insurance, or other special benefit provided at taxpayer expense for all members and congressional staff. Make Congress live like we do.
