Congress is compensated way above that of the American people to the point that they can't properly represent us. If Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, and "safety net" social services are going to be cut, then they will have to put their own WELFARE receipts on the line.
They don't represent us, they hardly work, and they get FAT WELFARE BENEFITS!
