The current minimum wage is not a wage we, the people can support themselves. Give us, the people, a wage; no, an opportunity that we can actually pull ourselves up from our bootstraps and not have to rely on government assistance programs as much as we do at present time. Gone are the days that "flipping burgers" or "stocking shelves" is the work of high school students. No, Mr. President; these minimum wage jobs are falling more and more onto adults trying to support their families.
