Demand that Congress take immediate action to pass reasonable gun control legislation to curb senseless mass shootings.

Enough with the senseless mass shootings
• Require background checks for all gun sales and strengthen the background check system
• Require states to share information to facilitate identification of persons with criminal histories and/or mental health issues
• Ban military-style assault weapons and limits magazines to a capacity of 10 rounds
• Close “loopholes” in gun trafficking laws and prosecute “straw purchasers”
• Provide increased funding to keep state/local police officers on the street to help deter gun crime
• Maximize efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime
• Provide training for “active shooter” situations
• Launch a national gun safety campaign to encourage responsible gun ownership
• Help schools invest in safety
• Improve mental health awareness and treatment
