Demand a Congressional Debate and Vote to authorize actions against ISIL

Created by P.G. on September 10, 2014

The expanded use of military force in Iraq and Syria, beyond humanitarian assistance and the protection of State Department personnel, deserves the voices of the American people. This can only be done through a full debate conducted by our elected representatives.

An additional war front in the region is a significant commitment in both American lives and funding, immediately and into the future. This demands a full Congressional vote. Approximately 114 Congresspersons have already called for a debate and vote either in writing or public commentary. Please request the Authorization for Use of Military Force from Congress. 13 years of war against constantly changing enemies in multiple countries is too much without a new debate and authorization.
