Today it was disclosed in the Washington Post that the Democratic National Committee reinstated the ability of federal lobbyists and political action committees to donate to the DNC that was originally introduced by Barack Obama in 2008. Such a mood is seen as more evidence of the corrupting influence of money in our elections where the rich and powerful seek to influence policies to benefit them. The White House should demand the restriction to be reinstated and such a move would send a powerful message that influencing politics via money is not tolerated in our elections.
