We the people ask the federal government to Tell us what the federal government is doing about an issue:

Demand that the DOJ investigate the attack of Chicago resident David Wilcox for violation of his civil voting rights.

Created by L.L. on November 16, 2016

Mr. Wilcox was attacked on November 8, 2016. Mr. Wilcox, a white man, was beaten by a gang of black men who also stole his car and dragged him down a busy street as he tried to stop them. Others in this gang filmed the beating on their cell phones while numerous people shouted "He voted for Trump!", "Beat his ass!" This is a clear violation of Federal law (18 USC 241), which prohibits violence against individuals for exercising federal rights. Another statute (18 USC 245) prohibits intimidation or violence against voters for voting. The DOJ has a duty to American citizens to investigate this matter as a hate crime.
