After many months of delay, Chrysler's ignorance to recognize the design defects in their 93-05 Jeep Grand Cherokees have led to many inevitable deaths on the road. As a Jeep owner, it should not be the case that one should have the fear of myself or a family member experiencing a fiery death through a rear-end collision. Therefore, I plead the Obama Administration to avoid another Ford Pinto era where carmakers continue to put income and revenues over human safety and ethics. By strengthening NHTSA, car owners can rest assured they are relatively safe on the road without the thought of death being inevitable.
