The past two days have seen a horrifying spike in hate crimes committed against African-Americans, latino/hispanic Americans (and those suspected of being of Mexican or South American descent), Muslim Americans, Asian-Americans, LGBTQ Americans, and others. Often the assailants invoke the name of President-elect Trump.
We urge President Obama to speak out forcefully against these attacks. We ask him to demand that President-elect Trump condemn the violence done in his name, using strong and clear language.
