I am a Democrat. I am for reasonable gun control; however, I am also a strong believer of the 2nd amendment. I am not a wordsmith, but I speak from the heart.
The NRA was not created as a political advocacy group, but protection of the 2nd amendment, education, safety, and professional training with firearms is a good cause. Sadly, they have gone far astray of their purpose. The existing leadership and board members are responsible and are no longer adequately representing it's members, and is embarrassing them and this country with radical political posturing.
I petition that the administration demand that the leadership of the NRA step down. A new board with new leadership is needed to take the NRA back to it's proud heritage.
