A group of armed militia groups have illegally occupied the Walheur Wildlands Refuge in Eastern Oregon based on illogical and unfounded rationale.
The Militia groups promise to end their occupation when the Wildlife Refuge is given back to local refuge for their resource extraction. Besides being illegal, such a transfer would transfer huge public resources to private ranchers, already receiving massive taxpayer subsidies and killing large numbers of native wildlife to ostensibly increase their profits.
