As consumers we are affected in our daily lives by the information included in our credit reports. It is harmful to us that this information, including our credit score, is not readily available. We are forced to pay to see a number that can disqualify us from housing or employment, or cause us to pay hundreds to thousands more in interest on loans.
And, while we do have access to a free annual credit report from the top three bureaus, in this day and age, identity theft can cause thousands of dollars in damage in minutes. We should have free access to our credit report and score at all times.
