Demand that the Gambian dictator Yahya Jammeh bring to justice the killers of young Kasim Kanji by the security forces

Created by S.S. on September 12, 2013

The case of Kasim Kanji is one of many human rights abuses committed by the regime. Young Kasim was stopped by police, picked up by military personnel, tortured, broke his neck and left for dead.

The police ask that the parents of Kasim sign a declarative statement absolving the government of all responsibility. When they refused, they were taken into custody.

The government of Yahya Jammeh has one of the worst human rights record in Africa. He heads a repressive government that has abused the human rights of a million and a half for almost two decades.

Gambians are being maimed, tortured and killed by a regime that has failed in every measure including a poor economic management record.

Gambians demand that further sanctions be applied against the regime of yahya Jammeh.
