Agricultural Appropriations Bill, HR 933, Section 735. This Bill has a provision dubbed the “Monsanto Protection Act,” (by activists who oppose the biotech giant). In March 2013, President Barack Obama signed the bill into law. A bill that effectively bars federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting of GMO or GE crops and seeds, no matter what health consequences from the consumption of these products may come to light in the future. This does not benefit the People; it benefits the billion-dollar corporation that helped write the legislation, Monsanto.
63 countries have mandatory labeling laws and many have other restrictions against genetically engineered crops and foods. But the USA does not. DEMAND GMO Labeling. If GMO's pose no harm, why not label our food?
