Demand the government demonstrate it's "fair share" of fiscal responsibility before prosecuting others for lack of same.

Time and again the government likes to take to task corporations and even citizens for issues related to fiscal irresponsibility. However, the government refuses to set itself up as an example and take leadership in this area and show what it means to manage its funds with moral, ethical and practical responsibility. This petition asks the government to curb its own powers and activities in prosecuting citizens and legal entities in any area where the government cannot demonstrate that it remains irreproachable, including but not limited to debt management, budget creation and adherence, management of funds set aside for the retirement of individuals, transparent and responsible allocation of taxpayer funds, etc. Gov't standards should be as high as those imposed on the governed.
